This task order, as part of a Leo A Daly A/E services IDIQ contract, provided inspection services on several projects undertaken by the U. S. Coast Guard Sector 7 Civil Engineering Unit (CEU), Miami. The projects were located at the historic U.S. Coast Guard Station, Charleston South Carolina and at the Air Station Savannah, Georgia. M-B conducted construction surveillance to ensure compliance with contract documents and inform the Contracting Officer or designated representatives if requirements were met. Inspections included project electrical, mechanical, roofing, general building construction and renovations to aged structures under the auspices of the State Historical Preservation Office.

The projects included the Hurricane Mathew Repair and expansion of the 26,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose building at USCG Tybee Island, GA; the replacement of the shops ventilation system in Maintenance Hanger, Building 100, Air Station Savannah, Hunter Army Airfield, GA; and the replacement of custom windows and roof at the Marine Safety Office Building, USCG Sector, Charleston, SC.

M-B attended meetings; reviewed, analyzed and made recommendations on all submittals, quality control plans, progress schedules, safety plans, potential construction changes, operations and maintenance manuals, and progress payments. M-B provided periodic surveillance and submitted reports of construction work, assisted with cost estimates; coordinated all requests for passes, outages, excavations, hauling, and delivery routes while maintaining liaison between the Station and the contractors. M-B maintained orderly project files and contract documents including amendments, notices to proceed, change orders, as-built drawings and modifications.
